Store Hours: Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm
Highway City Thrift is the "nucleus" of all the programs/resources we run. Proceeds from your donations to Highway City Thrift go to:
Donations: The next time you have “treasures” to donate we hope you will think of us. Your donations will bless families in the Central Unified School District and Fresno Community. Every dollar is put to work to help people help themselves into better life situations.
Most Needed Items: Furniture, Men-women-and children’s clothing, shoes, beds, kitchen tables & chairs, dressers, refrigerators, dish and glassware, appliances*, linens, bedding, framed pictures, decorative items, baby items, sports equipment and non-perishable food**.
*Note: In an effort to be 'green', Highway City Thrift takes clothing & shoes that we can not sell due to wear and tear, and partners with a recycler that turns those items into insulation, rags, stuffing and more...so the next time you have odd socks, torn up denim, and worn out clothing- put those goods in a bag marked "recycle" and turn them in with your donations.
*Appliances need to be in good working condition, that is able to be shown at time of pick-up. We will not accept washing machines & dryers that are older than 5 years old- due to the inability to check usability at time of pick-up.
We also can not take desks/furniture made out of particle board since it usually 'breaks-down' in tranit/pick-up and is often not saleable.
